Elizabeth (Beth) Falk, MBA, founder and president of Falk Marques Group, and founder and managing director of the Women’s Private Equity Summit, has 20 years experience in the conference, trade show, and executive education business. Beth has served as division head in senior executive management roles formulating strategy and leading teams to develop, plan, market and produce large-scale national and international conferences, forums and seminars. Among the organizations in Beth's portfolio are such market leaders as: Comdex (during its heyday as the world's largest IT trade show); The Private Equity Analyst/VentureOne (formerly Asset Alternatives and Alternative Investor, now owned by Dow Jones); The World Health Care Innovation and Technology Congress; Harvard Medical School; and Harvard School of Public Health. Beth earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Babson Graduate School of Business.
Project Manager
Lorelle Yee brings more than 15 years of marketing and project management experience to the Falk Marques Group. Lorelle's career includes positions at one of Boston's leading law firms, where she served as Director of Marketing and Communications for the firm's 100 plus lawyers. While there she managed events and the development of all marketing and media tools. Lorelle held a similar position at a large regional accounting and financial services firm. In that role, she oversaw all areas of marketing, event planning and public relations. Lorelle has many years of experience in the professional services field, as well as several years in the wholesale travel planning industry, making her an exceptional asset to the Falk Marques Group.
Marketing Communications
Lisa Fruitt, founder and president of Fruitt Communications, brings more than 23 years of marketing and communications experience to her firm. Fruitt Communications is a strategic communications firm specializing in integrated marketing programs for business and professional services. The company was founded in 1991 by Lisa Fruitt and numbers among its clients some of the most successful companies in the fields of hospitality, technology, finance, real estate, and management services. Lisa began her career on the client side as Vice President of Communications for Beacon Hotel Corporation, owner of the Guest Quarters Suite Hotels chain (now DoubleTree Hotels). Following seven years at Beacon and a year at environmental consulting firm Hygienetics, she opened Fruitt Communications to bring senior-level marketing communications counsel to a diverse group of clients. Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University and a Master of Science degree from Boston University School of Communications.
Sales and Marketing
Barbara Bissonnette, founder and principal of Forward Motion Marketing Consulting, specializes in developing strategic plans and creative marketing programs that capture sales and market share. She has successfully marketed Web databases, professional conferences, trade shows, software, professional services, publications, research, and advertising and sponsorship programs. Barbara's industry experience is broad and includes finance and investing, IT, retail, architecture and interior design, publishing and consulting services. Prior to launching her own firm, Barbara was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for The Private Equity Analyst/VentureOne (formerly Asset Alternatives and Alternative Investor, now owned by Dow Jones) where as one of the first employees she helped grow the start-up organization into a multi-million dollar business.
Meeting Management
Betsy Gonzalez, CMP, has more than 18 years conference operations and meeting management experience. She currently manages meetings for the global insurance industry where she conducts domestic and international hotel contract negotiations, plans and researches program logistics, forecasts and maintains program budgets, and executes all on-site requirements for programs. Previously Betsy was Senior Events Operations Manager for Alternative Investor, a division of Dow Jones. Earlier in her career Betsy spent many years in the hotel industry, culminating in a position of Corporate Sales Manager for Hilton Hotels. Betsy is a member of Meeting Planners International (MPI) and holds the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation. |
